About Miho
Miho started intensive piano studies at age 5 and followed her passion to Osaka Conservatory of Music in Japan. She performed at various concerts and accompanied for many choirs. She also collaborated with other artists including Takeshi Miyazaki, Kyoko Ichikawa and the Yao Philharmonic Orchestra etc.
Miho moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001, where she met her husband. She had her own studio for 20 years in LA and taught for students ranging from age 4 and up. She’s an active member of Royal Conservatory of Music and her students were awarded as First Class of Honors with Distinction and invited to the Winner Concert at USC.
She had actively played piano at shows in Hollywood, local churches and ballet studios including Santa Monica College, Los Angeles Ballet, Westside School of Ballet, Pasadena Ballet and in the greater area of Los Angeles.
Recently she relocated to Maryland and is continuing her career as piano teacher in-person and online with the students in England, Los Angeles and Japan. She shares her profound love of music with the next generation every day.
About Mark
Mark went from piano and guitar lessons to discovering his lifelong passion for drums and percussion at age 8. He drummed his way through high-school orchestra and jazz band and into Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he found a love of composition and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Film Scoring.
Mark has scored many short films, a critically-acclaimed play and a TV pilot. He has just released his first album of original songs under the artist name The Mess and The Magic.
Mark was also the drummer for the LA-based Rush Tribute band Natural Science which gigs all over Southern California.
Miho and Mark currently reside in Rockville, MD where their two beautiful daughters are already showing great promise
on violin and cello and share their parents love of all things creative!
